Since 1994…  We provide access to capital to start up and existing businesses who cannot obtain financing elsewhere.  CEDF is a non-profit business development organization serving low-to-moderate income small business owners in Connecticut.  In addition to capital, we offer educational workshops, business advice and other resources.

SBA’s Top Micro Loan Lender In Connecticut.

Whether you’re a small business owner looking for alternative financing, workshops to help guide you with your business knowledge and support, or you’re a community-based group hoping to improve the economic viability of your neighborhoods, CEDF is here to try to help you.

Starting a new business or growing an existing one?  CEDF has loans products that can be custom tailored to meet your needs and help you succeed.  We have loans from $5,000 to $250,000. The money can be used for operating expenses, inventory, equipment and more. We also provide commerical mortgages up to $500,000.

As part of our holistic approach our loan clients receive a business consultant,  who meet with them monthly.  At CEDF our professional expertised business consultants are behind you every step of the way to guide you through your journey.

Want to improve the economic quality of life in your local community?  We’ll work with you to implement your strategies for tangibly improving your neighborhood(s).  Visit our Community Development section for more information.

At CEDF we are revitalizing Connecticut communities and growing jobs by providing Connecticut small businesses with greater access to capital, flexible financing, business consulting and quality business skills training taught by the experts in the field.

If you are thinking of opening a business or you are in business and need help… you have come to the right place. We have many resources to share.  Simply give us a call toll free at 888-835-2333.
