SMALL BUSINESS COUNSELOR

Nonprofit, non-traditional, small business lender seeks full-time Small Business Counselor/Technical Advisor experienced in business planning, one-on-one business consulting, and loan packaging. Must work well with diverse client base in flexible team environment and be willing to travel throughout the state.


Requirements:

  • A four year degree in general business or equivalent relevant business experience.
     
  • Knowledge of business, finance, marketing and public relations.
     
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Reliable transportation and flexible work hours will be necessary to provide service statewide.
     
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, detail orientated.
     
  • Broad knowledge of computers including (word/excel/power point/QuickBooks).

  •  
  • Must be dependable, capable of working independently, flexible, highly developed sense of ethics and integrity, team player, high energy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
     
  • Bilingual English/ Spanish helpful.

Senior Business Loan Officer/Manager

Small business senior lender/department manager for a state-wide, non traditional, community small business lending organization. Responsible for managing loan department including oversight of all lending programs, developing pipeline, processing and closing loan applications, managing staff and working with senior management team in developing new products.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience in managing a small business lending department required. Experience in underwriting and cash flow lending, with preference in a non traditional market. Ability to work with diverse markets. Ability to work in a team environment and multitask. Ability to think “outside of the box”. Computer proficient. Ability to meet goals. Excellent communication skills. Must be willing to travel statewide. Salary commensurate with experience.
