Making Dreams Come True

Katalina's Bakery located at 74 Whitney Avenue, New Haven

Years before she opened her own business, Katalina Reigelmann regularly traveled to New York City and Boston to visit successful bakeries, taking note of all the attributes she admired, with the goal of one day opening her own bakery. The dream of becoming an entrepreneur became a reality with the help of CEDF.

With a strong business plan in hand, a microloan for startup, and assistance provided by Business Advisor, Andrew Scarpa, Ms. Reigelmann opened Katalina's Bakery. Word soon spread about her delicious cupcakes and much more. Some of her clients travel a distance to partake in the treats which include a variety of gluten free items.

Recently, Katalina's Bakery was honored when named Connecticut's "Microenterprise Of The Year" by the CT Small Business Administration (SBA). Congratulations and continued success for years to come.
