Jim Bzdyra is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Community Economic Development Fund (CEDF), where he leads the organization’s strategic vision and works closely with staff and boards to advance its mission across Connecticut.

A strong advocate for entrepreneurship, Jim believes small businesses are essential to creating economic opportunities, generating jobs, and strengthening local communities. Prior to joining CEDF in 2015, he gained more than 25 years of small business banking and business leadership experience. His career included leadership roles with First Niagara Bank, NewAlliance Bank, and New Haven Savings Bank.

Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to expanding access to capital and helping entrepreneurs build stronger businesses that contribute to Connecticut’s economic growth.
