The ServSafe Food Safety Certification Seminar provides participants with the knowledge and skills to ensure safe and responsible food service practices. Upon completion of this course, the ServSafe certification exam will be administered. Successful completion is nationally recognized in the food service industry.

- Importance of food safety in the restaurant industry.
- Safe food handling and storage practices.
- Preventing cross-contamination.
- Food safety training for employees.
- Personal hygiene practices.
- Safe food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Serving food at safe temperatures.
- Answers to your questions and concerns.
At the completion of the training sessions, the ServSafe certification exam will be administered to participants who have attended the full duration of the training. Exam results will be announced, and certificates will be presented digitally to those who passed. Certificates will be posted on your ServSafe profile after 10 business days.
Dianisi Torres, MA, CHW, CMHA, is a nutrition educator with the UCONN EFNEP Program in the College of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources. She has been a certified ServSafe instructor and supervisor with the National Restaurant Association for more than 15 years, educating the community in English and Spanish. She has 13 years of experience teaching food business start-up classes. Dianisi also serves on the Board of Directors for CEDF Corporation.
